Education
One of the most significant factors in a person's lifelong well-being is their education. We still, however, have much to learn about the effectiveness of various teaching methods and resource allocation.
The Ciervo Foundation supports efforts to better measure education, research new methods, apply them in practice, and give feedback to steer future research. A continuous improvement model for education will provide greater benefit to society by measuring and optimizing for real-world outcomes.
The foundation also seeks ways to reach children outside of regular school time. Out-of-school-time (OST) programs can reinforce learning in a safe, social setting. Many even provide meals or other important services.
Lastly, the Ciervo Foundation looks to improve critical thinking skills for young people. Identifying relevant, well-reasoned information is becoming more important and more difficult as sources grow and overemphasis on consumable content abounds.
